DETROIT, MI - Completely naked. Cadillac's forthcoming XT5 crossover SUV was spotted totally uncovered and without camouflage in New York City.
It appeared to be for a photo shoot, as a user at Opposite Lock reports via Jalopnik.
It is still unclear when the Cadillac XT5 will be revealed to the media. Signs point toward a likely fall debut.
It will replace the outgoing SRX. According to GM Authority, the forthcoming XT5 will use a new C1XX vehicle architecture, replacing the Theta Premium and Lambda platforms.
Whenever the XT5 officially arrives, it will be an important model for Cadillac, as consumers continue to favor larger vehicles such as crossovers and SUVs.
Through the first five months of this year, sales of the Cadillac SRX inched up 1 percent on an annual basis to 24,461 units, comprising about a third of all Cadillac's vehicle sales. During that same time period, total Cadillac sales were down 1 percent to 67,384 units.
