Pricing announced for 2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition

General Motors has released pricing information on the 2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition, the automaker's stylish take on its full-size Sierra 1500 pickup.

DETROIT, MI - General Motors has released pricing information on the 2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition, the automaker's stylish take on its full-size Sierra 1500 pickup.

The Elevation Edition, pictured above, will start at $34,865 for a 2WD model equipped with a 4.3L V6, and starts at $38,795 for a 4.3L/4WD configuration. Models with a 5.3L V8 start at $35,960 for 2WD and $39,890 for 4WD. The 4.3L V6 gets 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque, the 5.3L V8 is rated at 335 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.

Prices include shipping costs, but exclude taxes, titles, license and other dealership fees. The 2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition arrives at dealerships this month.

"The Sierra Elevation Edition is all about expressive style and technology," Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC sales and marketing, said in a release. "Its customized appearance makes it a standout for style-conscious customers, while its technologies help keep them plugged into to their connected lifestyles."

The Sierra Elevation Edition will come with 20-inch black-painted wheels and fog lamps. Connectivity features include an OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot with a three-month trial, the GMC IntelliLink system and Bluetooth wireless technology for select phones.

GMC vehicles posted an 11.3 percent rise in sales for all of 2014 to 501,853 units. Sierra sales rose 14.9 percent to 23,436 units on the year.
