DETROIT, MI- General Motors Co. will reportedly create 2,000 new jobs in Michigan by investing $300 million in three new projects.
According to the Detroit News, GM and Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder’s Office are expected to make formal investment announcements later today.
Up to 1,500 of the new jobs are expected at a new information technology innovation center in Warren, according to the newspaper report from Melissa Burden.
The expected announcement comes days after the Detroit-based automaker announced its plans to move its hydrogen fuel cell research and development operations in New York to Pontiac, and nearly a year-and-a-half after officials announced a $130 million at its Warren Technical Center for a new enterprise data center.
