DETROIT, MI - Although it debuted its new, 2014 Wraith luxury model last month in Geneva, Rolls-Royce is eager to show the vehicle off to the burgeoning Chinese luxury market at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.
China was the second-largest market for the company in 2012, topped only by the U.S.
The Wraith, its latest model to be introduced to the market, is "the most powerful and dynamic Rolls-Royce in history," the company says.
Here are what some of the Wraiths highlights are, according to the company:
- "Elegant fastback design hints at dynamic prowess of the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever: 624 bhp/465 kW, 800 Nm from 1,500 rpm : 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds (0-62 in 4.6)
- Debut of Satellite Aided Transmission. A technology that uses GPS mapping data to ensure the correct gear is always pre-selected for the road terrain ahead
- Voice activated connectivity augments effortlessness – the ‘on-board valet’
- Canadel Panelling sweeps through a sumptuous, contemporary and yacht-like interior cabin"
The Wraith is set to hit the U.S. makret next Winter. A U.S. base price has not been released yet, but the company says that in Europe it will cost €250,000, which converts to about $326,000.
