DETROIT- General Motors Co. will unveil three redesigned luxury vehicles later this month at the 2013 New York International Auto Show.
The Detroit-based automaker Friday, when announcing its 7 percent February sales increase, confirmed that it will unveil the new Cadillac CTS, along with the redesigned Buick LaCrosse and Regal – three of its most-important luxury vehicles.
For Cadillac, the CTS was the brand’s second- highest selling vehicle in 2012. About 55,000 of the vehicles were sold last year, which represented about 36 percent of the brand’s overall sales.
For Buick, the LaCrosse mid-size sedan and Regal combined for sales of 98,618 vehicles for GM last year, which represented more than 55 percent of the brand’s overall sales. Buick sold 58,474 LaCrosse units and 40,144 Regals last year.
The 2013 New York International Auto Show is expected to be a very important show for the U.S. automotive industry with dozens of debuts. The show is open to the public from March 29 through April 7.
