DETROIT, MI - An insurance shopping website looked at online quote information from more than 300,000 drivers to see which cars and trucks get the most tickets, and which ones get the least.

There were some surprises in Insurance.com's results of the vehicles getting the most traffic tickets, but we were less taken aback by the list of cars and trucks garnering the least amount.

Perhaps one would not expect the sportier Cadillac ATS and Acura ILX to be among the least ticketed. But it's not too shocking that General Motors' unassuming, utilitarian Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans seem to fly more under-the-radar.

Insurance.com said it reviewed insurance claims and traffic violation data from 331 models and 323,349 customers between Jan. 1, 2014 to Feb. 1, 2016 to compile the numbers.

The rankings were then calculated on models for which more than 250 quotes were sought to make sure a significant sample size was available.

The website did not distinguish the cars and trucks by model year, nor did it include only new cars.

Here are the 10 least-ticketed cars and the percentage of drivers who received tickets:

1. Buick Encore - 3%
2. Lexus IS350 - 3%
3. Acura ILX - 6%
4. Cadillac ATS - 6%
5. Chevrolet Express - 8%
6. Cadillac Escalade - 8%
7. GMC Savana - 9%
8. Audi A3 2-Series - 9%
9. BMW 320I - 10%
10. Land Rover Range Rover - 11%
