DETROIT, MI - For many Americans, the name Radio Flyer typically conjures up memories of youngsters being pulled around in red wagons.
But the Chicago-based company also makes tricycles, scooters, and now, a miniature, lithium ion battery-powered Model S car for children.
With a price tag of $499, the mini Tesla Model S is a premium mode of transport for kids ages 3-8. It has working headlights, turbine rims and the same paint finish and colors of actual Model S cars.
You can plug it in just like a real Tesla too.
The lithium-ion battery powering the mini Tesla charges in just about 3 hours, Radio Flyer says in a promo video:
For $50 more you can also order a "premium battery" for "50 % more playing time per charge," Radio Flyer says. There's also a $50 car cover and personalized license plates and parking signs.
The little cars can be pre-ordered now, and will begin shipping in May.
