FCA's drop in net profits came despite an 18 percent rise in net revenues to €113.2 billion (about $123 billion).

DETROIT, MI - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' full-year, net profit for 2015 fell to 377 euros (about $411 million) in 2015, compared to net income of EU632 million (about $689 million) in 2014.

However, the company said in reporting its financial results Wednesday that its adjusted net profit was up 91 percent to EU2.0 billion.

Its bottom line was hit by Q3 charges related to recalls and costs in Q4 related to a restructuring of its strategy in the North American Free Trade Agreement region.

FCA is expected to outline details of this shift in a conference call at 10:30 a.m. It is widely expected that the automaker will align its North American production to include more SUVs and trucks, while seeing that smaller, less-profitable cars are built elsewhere.

A company spokeswoman said profit-sharing details would be shared after the call.

FCA's drop in net profits came despite an 18 percent rise in net revenues to EU113.2 billion (about $123 billion).
