DETROIT, MI -- They're often daring, bold and look toward the future. Sometimes they're the first steps in a new direction for automakers, a tip of the hat to consumers and industry analysts.
Often they're just fun.
The 2016 North American International Auto Show brought us the Star Wars-inspired Fiat 500e Stormtrooper; the slick Buick Avenir; the brawny Nissan Warrior pickup; the hydrogen-powered H-tron Quattro; a Kia Telluride that's not tiny, and others included in the gallery above.
The 2016 NAIAS, with more than 750 vehicles on display, will open to the public from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, the final day of the show.
Tickets are $13 for adults, $7 for seniors and $7 for children under 12. Kids under 6 years get in free.
