Precision Concept to debut future of Acura's luxury performance sedans at Detroit auto show

The luxury brand of Honda Motor Co. said Friday it will reveal the Precision Concept, created by the Acura Design Studio in California, at the show.

DETROIT, MI - Acura is set to show off the future of its performance-luxury sedans at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The luxury brand of Honda Motor Co. said Friday it will reveal the Precision Concept, created by the Acura Design Studio in California, at the show. Acura also released a teaser image, seen above.

"The Acura Precision Concept will signal the stronger and sharper focus of Acura styling on our core DNA we call 'precision crafted performance,'" Dave Marek, global creative director for the Acura brand, said in a release. "It is our intention to more strongly express performance through design and the Acura Precision Concept will serve as the inspiration for the styling and proportion of the next-generation of Acura vehicles, especially for our sedan."

Acura's press conference for NAIAS is set for Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 8 a.m.

More than 40 news cars and trucks are expected to debut at the 2016 Detroit auto show. Press preview days are Jan. 11 and 12, and the show will be open to the public Jan. 16-24.
