If you want to get your hands on the first convertible sold by Buick in the U.S. in 25 years, it will set you back at least $33,990.
DETROIT, MI - If you want to get your hands on the first convertible sold by Buick in the U.S. in 25 years, it will set you back at least $33,990.
The General Motors brand announced pricing for the 2016 Buick Cascada on Wednesday, and noted that it has a lower starting price than the Audi A3 Cabriolet, which starts at $36,600.
Unveiled in Detroit last January, the Cascada will arrive at dealerships early next year.
The top of the Cascada lowers in 17 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph, according to Buick. It has a 2+2 configuration, meaning more room for passengers in rear seats.
The Cascada's 1.6L turbocharged engine produces 200 horsepower, and is mated with a six-speed automatic transmission.
"Cascada expands Buick's lineup with a uniquely fun and personal driving experience," Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick, said in a release. "With a lower price than key competitors, it also promises to shake up the segment - and look good doing it."
