The 10th-generation Civic sedan is reportedly set to be unveiled Sept. 16.
DETROIT, MI - A redesigned 2016 Honda Civic Sedan will debut at simultaneously events in Detroit and Los Angeles next month, Automotive News reports.
The 10th-generation Civic sedan is set to be unveiled Sept. 16, the industry trade publication reports.
At the time, Honda is expected to only reveal the Civic sedan's interior and exterior, and reportedly will not release performance details its powertrains.
The Japanese automaker will also wait to reveal new and highly-anticipated Civic coupe, hatchback, Si and Type R models until a later date.
At the 2015 New York International Auto Show last April, Honda revealed what it said was merely a concept, but one that "provides a tantalizing glimpse" of what its 10th-generation line-up will look like when it arrives in the U.S. this fall.

The new Civics launching this fall will be the first U.S. models to have 1.5L VTEC turbo engines. They'll be mated with 6-speed, short-throw manual or continuously variable automatic transmissions.
The model range will have a longer wheelbase and a lower, wider stance. The Civics will have a longer hood, a shorter front overhang, a more set-back greenhouse and a shorter rear deck.
Those lower and wider proportions will be underscored by a more aggressive wheel-to-body relationship and pronounced fender arches, Honda said last spring.
