The all-new, 2016 Toyota Prius will reportedly be revealed to the media on Sept. 8.

DETROIT, MI - Toyota Motor Corp. will unveil the first redesign of its popular Prius hybrid car next month in Las Vegas, according to a report in Bloomberg.

The all-new, 2016 Toyota Prius will reportedly be revealed to the media on Sept. 8.

The last time the Prius got a full makeover was for the 2009 model year. The new Prius will arrive in the U.S. at the same time as Toyota' hyrdrogen fuel cell-powered Mirai.

The new Prius also comes at a time that American consumers have had an appetite for larger vehicles such as SUVs, crossovers and pickup trucks. Part of that sales drive has stemmed from lower fuel prices this year, and some of it has to do with the overall improvement in the economy.
