CHICAGO - The Veloster, Hyundai Motor Co.'s sporty little hatchback, just got a little sportier.
Hyundai unveiled Friday at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show the Rally Edition of the Veloster, which builds on the Veloster Turbo R-Spec and features more performance-focused suspension and signature logos.
Prodoction of the Veloster Rally Edition will be limited, with only about 1,200 units being made. All will come in a Matte Blue finish.
All versions of the 2016 Hyundai Veloster are set to arrive at U.S. dealers in May.
Also on Friday, Hyundai released a refreshed version of its Elantra GT hatchback for the 2016 model year. The 2016 Elantra GT will start at $18,800, excluding an $825 freight charge. It arrives at dealerships in March.
Hyundai's sales were flat on an annual basis in January, with about 44,000 vehicles sold in the U.S.
Press preview days of the Chicago Auto Show are Thursday and Friday. The show, at McCormick Place, is open to the public Feb. 14-22.
