Vehicle introductions were seen by 5,025 journalists coming from 60 countries.
DETROIT, MI - Some of the numbers are in. We were told heading into the 2015 North American International Auto Show that there would be at least 40 vehicle unveilings (sic).
The total ended up hitting 55 new vehicles that were introduced. Of those, 49 were global introductions, and six others were making their North American debut. Nine of the new vehicle introductions were concept cars.

"Our numbers are very strong," NAIAS Chairman Scott LaRiche said in a release. "Of the 55 vehicle introductions at NAIAS 2015, 94 percent are global reveals. This is a spectacular credential for an international show. Global auto manufacturers continue to show confidence in this city and in this show, and clearly saved their best for NAIAS."
Those vehicle introductions were seen by 5,025 journalists coming from 60 countries. Cambodia, Montenegro and Guinea were represented for the first time at the 2015 NAIAS.
And those 5,025 journalists drank 4,400 bottles of water and 800 bottles of fruit juice, NAIAS organizers said. They ate 4,000 sandwiches and. 1,200 bags of salty snacks.
They did so mostly while filing stories and photos from inside Cobo Center's relatively new, 40,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom, part of a $279 million renovation that is nearly complete.
