Ferrari has unveiled the FXX-K, a 1,050-horsepower gas-electric hybrid prototype that draws 890 horses from a V-12 engine and another 160 from an electric motor.

DETROIT, MI – Ferrari has unveiled the FXX K, a 1,050-horsepower gas-electric hybrid prototype that draws 890 horses from a V-12 engine and another 160 from an electric motor.

The Italian luxury sportscar brand, a division of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV, pulled the cloak on the FXX K at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi this week, just in time for the close of the auto racing season.

According to Bloomberg, Ferrari will likely just build a few dozen of the FXX K, and will reserve the sportscar for a select few of its customers, and those customers will only be able to drive it on private tracks or at company events.

The supercar will reportedly cost 2.5 million euros, or about $3.1 million.
