DETROIT, MI - Rikk Wilde is reportedly a Kansas City Royals fan.
That may explain why the Chevrolet zone manager from Kansas apparently stumbled through presenting San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner with the Chevrolet-sponsored MVP trophy after the Giants clipped the Royals 3-2 in a hard-fought game 7 of the MLB World Series.
While presenting Bumgarner with the trophy, Wilde also introduced viewers to Chevrolet's all-new, mid-size pickup the 2015 Colorado. With note card in hand, Wilde said "it combines class-winning and -leading, um, you know, technology and stuff, with, uh, Wi-Fi powered by OnStar, sitting there on the screen."
The internet response was swift. According to Automotive News, "#ChevyGuy," "#TechnologyAndStuff" and "Rikk Wilde" all became top 10 trending topics on Twitter within an hour of Wilde's stumbling presentation – out-clipping even Bumgarner.
Here's the video:
For its part, Chevrolet has embraced Wilde's insta-fame, even prominently placing "#TechnologyAndStuff" on its promo page for the Colorado.
It also sent out this tweet:
Truck yeah the 2015 #ChevyColorado has awesome #TechnologyAndStuff! You know you want a truck: http://t.co/0NcEoDRSUZpic.twitter.com/RMiRic8ATF

The 2015 Colorado was introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year. The new midsize pickup will start at $20,995, including $895 dealer freight charge, for a standard extended-cab model with a 200-horsepower 2.5-liter, four cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission. Other models will start as high as roughly $35,000 when the vehicle arrives in dealerships this fall.
