But if you can't make it to the show, the Detroit-based automaker has you covered. GM Monday said it will livestream the unveilings of the all-new Chevrolet Racing Corvette, called the C7.R, and the 2015 Corvette Z06 on Jan. 13.
DETROIT, MI- General Motors Co. will have two surprises for Chevrolet Corvette enthusiasts at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
But if you can't make it to the show, the Detroit-based automaker has you covered. GM Monday said it will livestream the unveilings of the all-new Chevrolet Racing Corvette, called the C7.R, and the 2015 Corvette Z06 on Jan. 13.
“The 2015 Corvette Z06 and the all-new C7.R represent the next evolution in the Corvette Stingray, the industry’s most awarded car in 2013,” GM said in a release.
The livestream will take place at chevy.com/Z06reveal starting at 9:30 a.m. with a special event leading into the press conference, which begins at 10 a.m. in the Chevrolet Exhibit at Cobo Center.
Production of the Z06 is expected to begin in late 2014, according to GM. The new Corvette race car, wearing an updated “Jake” mascot, will make its competition debut at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, Jan. 25-26, 2014.
The Corvettes are expected to join more than 50 other car and truck debuts during the two-day Press Preview to start the 2014 NAIAS.
The Detroit auto show will be open to the public from Jan. 18-26 at Cobo Center, following Press Preview Jan. 13-14; Industry Preview Jan. 15-16; and the Charity Preview Jan. 17.
Tickets to the 2014 public show days are $7 for senior citizens and children between 7-12 years old; $13 for adults; and free for children 6 and under.
