LOS ANGELES, CA- Two well-known executives from separate industries will share the stage during a keynote presentation at the 2013 LA Auto Show's inaugural Connected Car Expo next week.
Jim Farley, Ford Motor Co. executive vice president of Global Marketing, Sales, Service will be joined during a keynote speech Nov. 19 by Tarun Bhatnagar, director of Google Maps for Business.
“We are excited to have influential auto tech players like Ford and Google participating in the LA Auto Show’s Connected Car Expo,” said Lisa Kaz, president of LA Auto Show and Connected Car Expo, in a statement. “The demand for connectivity on the road is very clear to auto manufacturers and technology giants alike, as CCE continues to draw nationwide attention and innovative exhibitors.”
According to officials with the LA Auto Show, Farley and Bhatnagar will share their experiences in bringing their respective innovations to fruition during their keynote.
Neither officials with Ford or LA Auto Show responded to MLive regarding if any special announcements, such as a collaboration between the two companies, are expected to be announced.
The inaugural Connected Car Expo is Nov. 19 and will continue in conjunction with the 2013 LA Auto Show Press Days on Nov. 20 and 21.
Nearly 60 vehicles, including 22 world debuts, are expected to be unveiled during the 2013 LA Auto Show Press Days Nov. 20-21. The LA Auto Show, which is considered the start of the “auto show season” for automakers, is open to the public from Nov. 22 – Dec. 1.
